The Black

The Black is a 90/10 indica-dominant hybrid created by BC Bud Depot out of British Columbia in the 1980s.  It is supposedly a cross between Afghani, Mexican Michoacan/Oaxaca, and Green Vietnamese.  The average THC content is 18 to 20 percent.  

This strain was one of the top ten strains by the High Times in 2008.  

Flowering time for The Black is seven to eight weeks indoors and early October outdoors in a warm environment.

The aroma profile is pungent, earthy, grape, and spicy.  The flavor is peppery, woody, sweet, berry, and grape.  

Medicinally, The Black reduces symptoms of stress and depression.  It relieves acute or chronic body aches and pains.  This strain helps calm nausea.  The sedating effects help combat insomnia.  It is an appetite stimulant, which helps treat anorexia (loss of appetite).  The uplifting properties help banish negative thoughts and improve mood.
